This is Kana’s sixth vintage of Tempranillo and it is our best-to-date, with this year’s fruit sourced from Stone Tree (60%) and Elephant Mountain (40%) Vineyards and aged 3 years in French and American oak, 1/3 new. It shows beautifully intense aromatics and flavors of black cherry, raspberry and caramel almonds wrapped with chalky tannins and finishes long with a compact fruit finish and balanced acids. Should cellar well. Try with strong cheeses and spicy red pasta dishes. “Gold Medals” Seattle Wine Awards, Palate Press.
